Tooth Pain


  If you answer YES to any of the following questions you need an exam: 

  • Does chewing make the tooth hurt?

  • Do sweets cause tooth pain?

  • Does cold temperature cause tooth pain?

  • Does hot temperature make it hurt?

  • Does the pain go away rapidly when you take away
    any of the triggers above?

  • Does a warmed-up tooth (hot coffee for 30 seconds)
    set off the tooth pain for awhile?

  • Does the pain linger on for a few minutes?

  • Does the pain occur for NO REASON,
    like in the middle of the afternoon?

  • Does it keep you awake at night?

  • Does your tooth hurt all the time?

  • Does it wake you up?

  • Does a tooth hurt off and on a lot of the time?

  • Does ICE water make it feel better?

  • Is this tooth interfering with your LIFE?

These questions are a search
for an INFECTION PROBLEM. 

INFECTION is progressive and should
be treated sooner, rather than later.

 


 

Jaw, Face or Headache Pain


  If you answer YES to any of the following questions you need an exam: 

  • Does your face hurt when chewing?

  • Does it hurt all the time or just when moving your jaw?

  • Can you open wide enough for a small hamburger?

  • Do you 'wear out' when eating a chewy meal?

  • Do you awaken with a headache?

    • Do you use aspirin or other pain relievers?

  • Are you aware of your teeth and jaws during the day or night?

  • Do you have afternoon headaches? Mostly at work? At home also?

  • Did you know you could be grinding your teeth for hours at a time during the night? 

  • Do you every awaken in the morning with a tired face or jaw ?

  • Do you find them clenched when concentrating? 

    • Could this be a clue?
